In the Psychology department, we’re passionate about student success. Over 400 of our majors have co-authored published papers alongside faculty, and many have presented at prestigious conferences. We equip students with the research experience they need to stand out—securing spots in competitive graduate programs, scholarships, and fellowships. Our commitment to academic excellence fosters both career and civic success, while igniting a passion for lifelong learning.

Aligned with APA standards, our curriculum focuses on developing essential skills like quantitative analysis, problem-solving, and innovative inquiry methods. Through creatively taught courses, hands-on labs, and community field experiences, we ensure our students are prepared for future workplace productivity and effectiveness. With a diverse student body in mind, we’ve designed the Psychology major to be a launchpad for countless career paths.

Interested in Criminal Justice?

Ursinus students can now apply for direct admission to St. Joseph’s University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Students accepted can pursue a master’s degrees in criminal justice. Majors in psychology and sociology are particularly good fits, but students in other majors may be interested.
