Overview
The Department of Biology at Ursinus College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Biology to begin in Fall 2025 for the 2025-26 academic year. The Department seeks an individual who is trained in neurobiology (or neuroscience) and can contribute to courses in cell biology and genetics.

Responsibilities
We specifically invite applicants whose expertise is in the field of neurobiology (or neuroscience). Responsibilities will include teaching upper-level elective courses, including molecular neurobiology (BIO/NEURO/BCMB-433W), and teaching in introductory cell biology (BIO-102) lecture and laboratories, and genetics (BIO-201) laboratories. Applicants may conduct research with students in their field of neurobiological expertise as part of the position, but this is not required.

Requirements and Qualifications
A Ph.D. is required by the August 2025 start date. Teaching experience strongly preferred. Post-doctoral experience is a plus.
