Diane Skorina

Librarian of the College
CIE Chair

Diane Skorina is Librarian of the College and Chair of the Common Intellectual Experience (CIE). She teaches CIE and a class on Banned Books. She believes that the library offers endless possibilities for lifelong intellectual exploration, and that teaching is an ever evolving process.

Background

Diane received her Master of Library Science from Drexel University in 2004 and her B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. She’s worked in the libraries of Temple University and Swarthmore College, spent time setting up a library in an elementary school in Makhuva, South Africa, and did a stint as a writer and curriculum manager at SMG in Philadelphia right after College. She attended the Leading Change Institute in 2013. Because she really loves libraries, she also serves on the Board of the Spring City Public Library.
