The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at Ursinus College is inviting applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Computer Science to begin Fall 2025.

Responsibilities

The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at Ursinus College is inviting applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Computer Science to begin Fall 2025.

The teaching load for this position is 3 courses in each semester.

Requirements and Qualifications

An MA, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is required.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the potential for excellence in teaching computer science, specifically in the liberal arts setting. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach a wide variety of courses across all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, including introductory computer science courses, data structures, theory of computation, artificial intelligence, and others.

Complete applications will include a cover letter, CV, and statement of teaching philosophy in the context of a diverse liberal arts environment. Finalists will be requested to submit three letters of recommendation, at least one specifically addressing teaching or teaching potential.
