Impact of Ursinus
Reflecting on my time in the Ursinus Art Department, I’m immediately reminded of the strong relationships I built with both peers and professors. The space provided to work on my art and explore personal growth was invaluable. One of the most meaningful takeaways from my time at Ursinus was learning how to collaborate creatively within a team. These skills continue to influence my work today.
The experiences I had, from working in the studio to preparing for critiques and the student art show, are some of my fondest memories. I’m especially grateful for the lessons I learned about giving space, grace, and courtesy to others as we navigated creativity together. This sense of shared community is something I carry with me into my work as an art therapist, where creating safe, respectful spaces is central to the healing process.
