Ebonish Lamar, Ed.D.

Director of Residence Life

Ebonish serves as the Director of Residence Life at Ursinus. Specifically, Ebonish provides leadership and support for all departmental functions including the three residential areas. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Drexel University, with a research focus on new professional staff attrition and retention. She is passionate about learning communities creating pathways for students to reach their full potential in their academic, social and personal lives

Background

Ebonish has been in student affairs for over 15 years. Her previous role was as a House Director and Pre-Major advisor at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, where she provided oversight of a first-year residential community in collaboration with in house faculty in addition to providing students registration and academic major guidance. Even though Ebonish is a west coast native she has called many places her home from Philadelphia to Vermont, Upstate New York, Texas, and shipboard life with Semester at Sea. Ebonish loves horror and a good lifetime movie. In addition, you will find Ebonish walking around a lot in warmer weather taking in mother nature.
