Belle Nicholas

Practicum Doctoral Trainee

Background

Belle Nicholas (she/her) is currently a second-year student at Widener University’s Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology. Belle brings with her a diverse background of experiences, as she received her undergraduate degree in Musical Theatre at James Madison University but has since pivoted and worked in both higher education and mental health advocacy since. Belle is an Adult Mental Health First Aid Certified Instructor (National Council for Well-Being) and also sits on the Program Advisory Board of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey.

Belle is frequently described as warm and compassionate. She believes in finding creative approaches that are empowering to her clients and keep their individual goals at the center of their work. Above all, Belle wants clients to know that their life experiences are important and powerful. Belle is excited by the opportunity to learn as a clinical trainee here at Ursinus. In her free time, you can find Belle at the gym, spending time with her grandma, hosting themed gatherings for her friends, or volunteering with multiple causes in her community, such as heart health or veterans.
