  2. Complete the application by February 3. To apply students will login with the username and password sent to them upon application submission to Ursinus. Please check the email address associated with your application.
  3. Portfolio reviews will be held on campus in March 2025.

Learn more about the PVDT program on its website. If you would like to connect with a faculty member please contact Professor Shannon Zura, PVDT Coordinator.

On the Day of Portfolio Reviews:

  • Students will present their prepared portfolios in design, technology, and/or stage management and have a short interview. Portfolios can take a variety of different forms. We recommend digital portfolios (Power Point, Keynote, website, or equivalent) that students can discuss as they share. Digital portfolios for design, technology, and stage management vary and might include any of the following: resume, prompt script(s), examples of stage management documentation (a rehearsal report, performance report, contact list, props matrix, shift plot, etc.), design concept statements, photos of design work, drafting/rendering, sound/light plots, links to or embedded audio cues you have created or manipulated, links to websites/livestreams you have created or to which you have contributed, short video clips that include your design work, pre-show/post-show music lists you have curated for specific productions, list of programs/software in which you are proficient, etc. You must either bring your laptop and HDMI adaptor with you on Scholarship Day or you must email your portfolio or a link to your portfolio to Professor Shannon Zura. Students’ portfolio presentations should be no more than 10 minutes in length.
  • Students will participate in a short interview.

Terms of the Scholarship

The scholarship recipient must meet the following two criteria each year for the scholarship to be renewed annually:
