Building the Beloved Community

Banners with quotes from prominent African Americans will be displayed on campus through Black History Month. See a map of locations.

In January 2025, we will again begin the spring semester with a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement.

MLK Week 2025

Our annual MLK Week will take place January 22 - 26, 2025. The week will include our Day of Service, Lightning Talks, Film Screening, and other activities. Around the campus, we will prominently display the words of great African American artists, thinkers, writers, activists, performers, and others from the nineteenth century to the present; all quotes were suggested by members of the community. A number of events will take place virtually, and on campus. Activities will include a series of lightning talks; film screenings; discussions; and plans for the future. We hope you will join us in our efforts to honor Dr. King, the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement, and the future of inclusion and equity at Ursinus.

Events will be featured here as schedules and details are confirmed.
