At Ursinus College we utilize the social model of disability, we recognize disability as a part of human diversity. We strive to incorporate universal design principles across all campus life, services, and programs. Through our holistic approach we work to remove environmental barriers across campus and strive for equitable access for all students.
What does Ursinus College offer to students with disabilities?
Accommodations
ODA provides individualized accommodations when environmental barriers cannot be eliminated that foster independent, self-determined, and engaged students.
Academic Coaching
Academic Coaching is a program where students can have the opportunity to engage with a staff member in structured meetings throughout the semester to learn strategies to enhance executive functioning skills such as time management and organization, study skills, test-taking skills, and strategies for communicating with professors. Academic Coaching sessions are individualized to meet student needs and can focus on a variety of topics including social skills, and overall adjusting to the college environment.

Deposited and Committed to the Den?
Yes! We can’t wait to have you on campus with us. All incoming students should expect to receive information about the accommodations process in mid-May before their Fall entry. The accommodation request form for current students (that means you!) can be completed any time, but intakes for incoming students should be scheduled for late May to end of June. Intakes for incoming students scheduled prior to that time will be rescheduled.
