Katherine Hein ’25

I went to Strasbourg, France, in the fall semester of my junior year. I took French history, sociology, and political system classes all in the French language. I also completed a 12-week internship at Caritas Alsace, an NGO focusing on aiding those in need, specifically migrants. Besides increasing my French language and general global competency skills, I witnessed first-hand the lives migrants fought through to be able to gain safety for their families. These experiences influenced my current research and desired career path.
