Sustainability Fellows was the first thing I committed to when I stepped on campus as a freshman, so I’m happy for everything to come full circle & be back as a senior. I’ve always wanted to make an impact & better the community, which I feel I can do in my fellows position.

Most Memorable Moment in Class

In my ENV 100 class, we were assigned to write an advocacy letter. I wrote mine to a local councilman advocating for better policy to support people experiencing food insecurity in Philadelphia. Since then, I began working with a team to conduct food insecurity research on campus to address this invisible issue. I hope to continue my research and advocacy work surrounding food insecurity post grad.

This year, eight museum studies students worked together to curate Michael Dela Dika’s solo exhibition debut, Shaping Rhapsody. Dika, a visiting artist-in-residence at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture, where he teaches classes in ceramics and sculpture, has been preparing the exhibition for about five months.
