Caden Johnson ’25
Internship Experience:
In the summer of 2024, Caden secured a CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Internship. The CASE Advancement Internship program seeks to increase and diversify the number of professionals in educational advancement. Caden received on-the-job training and gain valuable skills in the professional areas of advancement, including fundraising, alumni relations, advancement services, and communications and marketing.
Reflection of the Opportunity
The CASE internship provided an exciting opportunity to travel and network with like-minded students. Hearing a variety of perspectives and ideas on how to improve our communities and the world was incredibly inspiring.
I applied a sociological imagination to our discussions and realized how versatile and applicable the skills I’ve gained through my major truly are. One of the highlights was a weekend trip to Washington, DC, where I engaged with diverse viewpoints and challenged my own ways of thinking.
Recognition and Impact
This experience wouldn’t have been possible without the mentorship and the support of Ursinus’ Advancement Office. Moving forward, I hope to use these experiences to reinvest in my community and help provide resources that were unavailable to me.
