Nicole Fadellin

Nicole Fadellin teaches Spanish language and Latin American literature and cultures. She specializes in 20th- and 21st- century Caribbean literature and visual culture, with a focus on infrastructural crisis in neocolonial settings. Her current book project explores the use of energy infrastructures as a metaphor for social power and a means for transforming society for revolutionary governments in Latin America.

Prior to joining Ursinus, Dr. Fadellin taught in the Honors College at Purdue University, and she has also worked as a public humanities scholar-practitioner in Peru. She served as co-curator for the digital platform Memoria Perú at the Biblioteca Nacional del Perú, and from 2018-2022 she designed various courses and activities for the Casa de la Literatura Peruana. Dr. Fadellin brings these professional experiences into her courses by incorporating collaborative, public-facing projects, such as exhibit curation, game design, and self-publishing.
