What do you love most about Ursinus?

I love the camaraderie of the small-knit community at Ursinus. When I walk through campus, I know most of the faces that I see (and the ones that I don’t are pretty friendly).

What opportunities have you had to explore and grow your passions at Ursinus?

I never thought that I would join a fraternity or be the mascot until I was exposed to the opportunities here. I have been able to explore the vast trail network around campus as a biker and runner. By creating my own major combining business and psychology, I could take classes that truly interested me (like Work and Meaning and Relationship Science).

When did you first discover Ursinus was the right fit for you?

A guidance counselor recommended Ursinus. He thought the small student-to-faculty ratio and involved student body would be a good fit for me, so I went for a visit in the spring of my sophomore year. My tour guide, Craig Lauer, was exceptional. He confirmed everything that my guidance counselor said and he’s the reason that I do what I do today as a Gold Ambassador!

What has been your favorite experience at Ursinus so far?

My favorite memory at Ursinus was watching the first game of the 2022 World Series, when the Philadelphia Phillies outlasted the Houston Astros in extra innings. I distinctly remember the “One More OUT!! One more OUT!!” chants as we closed out the game. You would have thought from the size of the celebration that we won the entire World Series. Our celebration made the highlight reel of Barstool Philly.

Advice for incoming students:

Keep an open mind. You never know what opportunities may be waiting for you if you are open to new experiences!
