Kerry Gibson

Collection Management Librarian

Kerry Gibson is in charge of collection management activities at Myrin Library including the selection, accessibility, and assessment of resources and collections.  In particular, Kerry manages the transition of print journals, books, and government documents towards a dynamic digital environment. In addition, Kerry advises First Year students, liaises with selected academic departments such as: Health Exercise Physiology, Modern Languages, Music, Neuroscience, Psychology, Politics, Theater and Dance, and serves as Myrin Library’s Federal Depository Library Coordinator.

Background

Kerry has been working at Myrin Library since 2006, and in academic libraries since 1996. Previous workplaces have included: Manhattanville College, Villanova University, the University of Rochester, WHYY Inc., and Moorestown Public Library in New Jersey. When Kerry is not working, she is: traveling and practicing her skills as a polyglot (French, German, Spanish, and Russian), singing in choirs, including Ursinus College Choir, playing the piano, and attending concerts, plays, and lectures on campus.
