Tip for the college search

Start with the big questions and then narrow your search down from there! Once you start forming a picture in your head, try to visit as many schools as you can that fit your criteria so you can see what you like. Make a list of pros and cons after each visit to help keep track of your thoughts.

Ursinus is a great place for…

Building life-long friendships. Some of my closest friends now are the same people I used to hang out with in Lower Wismer every day!

Background

After graduating from Ursinus in 2016, I flew to the other side of the world to teach English in Nara, Japan with the JET Program. I worked with pretty much every age group possible—elementary, junior high, high school, adults, seniors, even babies! I stayed in Japan for just under four years before moving back to North America to tutor and teach music and drama at a private elementary and middle school up north in Toronto, Canada. After another four years, I decided it was time to head back home to Pennsylvania. As I had been a tour guide and senior fellow while I was at Ursinus, it seemed like a great idea to transition into admission! I look forward to sharing my personal experiences at Ursinus with future students.
