Ursinus College and West Chester University have announced a new affiliation agreement providing students with the opportunity to pursue advanced degrees upon graduation. Under the partnership, Ursinus students can apply for guaranteed admission to several master’s programs at West Chester: nursing, athletic training, exercise and sport science, public health, and community nutrition.

“This partnership with West Chester University opens up exciting pathways for our students to pursue advanced degrees, expanding on their four years at Ursinus and preparing them for their future careers,” Ursinus President Robyn Hannigan said. “We are committed to supporting our graduates as they transition from their undergraduate studies to their professional aspirations, and this is yet another way Ursinus is helping to prepare the next generation of leaders in their chosen fields.”

Under the agreement, West Chester will reserve specific seats each year for Ursinus graduates in these sought-after programs. Notably, four spots are guaranteed for students in the nursing, athletic training, and community nutrition programs, provided they meet the requisite GPA and course prerequisites. Additionally, there are unlimited spots available for those applying to exercise and sport science and public health.

The partnership is expected to enhance the academic landscape at Ursinus, allowing students to elevate their education and professional qualifications through direct access to West Chester University’s graduate programs.
