Dr. Lauren Wynne gives keynote address and Rosie G. Hartford (’18) presents paper at GPLASC conference
Prof. Lauren Wynne gave the keynote speech at the Greater Philadelphia Latin American Studies Consortium’s 2018 Undergraduate and Graduate Student Conference. The conference took place at Drexel University on April 20, 2018.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Latin America Through Many Lenses”. Prof. Wynne’s keynote address was titled “Through the Lens of Food: Pleasure and Suffering in Contemporary Yucatán,”
Senior Rosie G. Hartford presented a paper titled “Investigating Female Indigenous Leadership in Latin America”. Rosie is a Spanish and International Relations major and a Latin American Studies minor.
