    Melrose Fellow Tia Alan '24 has earned a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship. Alan is exploring her passion for language while teaching English at a university in Morocco on a Fulbright fellowship—one of the world’s largest and most diverse international educational programs.

    Parlee Fellow and neuroscience major Ashton Newswanger ’26 took part in a ten-week NSF-sponsored Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the Center for Neurotechnology at the University of Washington. This culminated in his project, “Sex Differences in Anxiety and Locomotion After Cervical Spinal Cord Injury” which he presented at the University of Washington’s Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.

    Each spring, the U-Imagine Center hosts the BEAR Innovation Competition. For the competition, participants develop a conceptual or early business startup, receive guidance from real entrepreneurs, and present for a chance to win $10,000 in cash prizes. AMSP
