While Bomberger Hall is the central hub for Music at Ursinus, additional resources and facilities are utilized in Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center on campus.
Music x Design Technology Facilities
The Music x Design (MxD) Recording Studio is a new addition to Bomberger Hall in Spring 2025. In this space, students will gain hands-on experience creating and working in a professional studio environment. The studio consists of an isolated vocal booth for singers and voice over artists, a larger live room for instrumental ensembles of 4-5 musicians, and a separate control room for mixing recorded materials. In addition to these physical spaces, the studio also contains an array of professional audio equipment including studio microphones, audio processing hardware, as well as instruments and amplifiers suitable for studio musicians. Students gain practical experience manipulating the flow of audio signals within a recording studio and experimenting with different microphone techniques on a wide variety of instruments, with the goal of producing release-ready music and other recording projects to be shared with the rest of the world!
