Yes! Everything really is free. We’re supporting a community-based, inclusive circular economy on campus. We invite you to take as much as you can use!

We’re so glad you asked. There are two ways to get involved:

BearShare Volunteers: 

Volunteers help us organize and sort donations, keep the space neat and tidy, and help us share our great work with the community. Volunteer shifts are 1.5 hours long, and there is no ongoing commitment. Sign up to volunteer with us!BearShare Coordinators:

BearShare Coordinators are the backbone of our operations. These students commit to running BearShare for an entire semester, and receive academic credit for their work through an ENVS practicum. Coordinators are responsible for running open hours twice per week, as well as for organizing events, managing volunteers, and maintaining our social media presence. BearShare was initiated by Environmental Studies students in the Fall 2022 Env-450W capstone course, and builds on the successes of Office of Sustainability’s Sustainable Move-Out and UCARE’s Community Closet programs.
