The bookstore partners with Herff Jones to offer regalia packages. The last day to order regalia is Tuesday, March 18, 2025. See the regalia ordering instructions below.
The regalia package (cap with tassel, hood, and gown) is covered by the commencement fee.
In addition to regalia packages, graduates and their families are welcome to purchase graduation announcements through the Herff Jones website as well.
Regalia package includes:
One black academic gown
One mortarboard
One tri-color tassel - red, old gold, and black
One hood - white edging for arts or yellow edging for science
Note: Graduates keep their regalia after commencement.
Regalia Ordering Instructions:
Students are asked to submit regalia orders through the online form by March 18. Regalia availability cannot be guaranteed if an order is not placed.
Regalia Pick-up and Drop-off Instructions:
Graduates can pick up their regalia at Bear Necessities for Graduates on Friday, April 25 in Schellhase Commons 105.
NOTE: If you are unable to attend the Bear Necessities, please call 610-409-3584 or email the bookstore at bookstore@ursinus.edu to arrange a pickup time during their regular business hours. This option will only be available beginning Wednesday, April 30.
If you missed the deadline, please email the bookstore with your name, height, weight, and whether you are graduating with a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science.
As of 2024, graduates will keep their commencement regalia.
Regalia FAQs:
For the baccalaureate ceremony, we ask graduates to wear their gown only. Please save your caps, tassels, and academic hoods for commencement.
For the commencement ceremony, we ask graduates to wear their full regalia. This includes caps, tassels, academic hoods, and gowns.
Faculty and staff will be on-site before the commencement ceremony to assist you with your academic regalia.
In this intimate ceremony, the class gathers last time before commencement. We invite graduates and their families to join us on the Berman Lawn at 4 p.m. More information is available on the commencement website.
