2025 Commencement Ceremony Details
Saturday, May 17, 2025 on the Berman Museum Lawn
- Event is rain or shine under the commencement tent.
- The commencement ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
- Processional begins at 9:20 a.m.
- Seating is first come, first served. Tickets are not required.
- Graduates and their guests are invited to a reception immediately following the ceremony.
- Please note: all commencement guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the college
Featured Speakers & Honorees
2025 BACCALAUREATE SPEAKER
The Reverend Dionne Boissière, chaplain of the Church Center for the United Nations and associate minister for Mount Aery Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Conn., will receive an honorary Doctor of Divinity and deliver the baccalaureate address.
2025 COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER
Steven Forti, chief wellness and resiliency officer at the Hospital for Special Surgery, and retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant, will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters and deliver the keynote address during the commencement ceremony.

An honorary Doctor of Divinity will be bestowed upon Lenape Elder John Thomas, indigenous peoples advocate and elder of the Delaware (Lenape) Tribe of Indians in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and a key partner in the Welcome Home Project.

In this intimate ceremony, the class gathers last time before commencement. We invite graduates and their families to join us on the Berman Lawn at 4 p.m. More information is available on the commencement website.
