Kohenet Bekah Starr

K’Bekah is the Jewish Life Coordinator on campus and also supports the Smith Scholars in the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life. Prior to coming to Ursinus she served as faculty and staff for the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute where she is ordained as a Hebrew Priestess (a Jewish clergyperson). She is specially interested in Jewish mysticism and reclaiming the lost voices of her ancestral people through experiential ritual and practices. As an artist, she also explores the connections between Jewish Mysticism and the Divine Feminine. You can find her under a tree outside on the Berman lawn when she’s not in her office in Bomberger.
