Director of International Programs

Background

Paula has been a Lecturer in Spanish and Italian at Ursinus since 2000. In the summer of 2003 she directed the Ursinus in Mexico intensive language program in Cuernavaca. A native of the Asturias region of northern Spain, she has had extensive work experience in Europe and Latin America. She is dedicated to assisting international students in their adjustment to American culture and education, to being a resource on immigration matters, and to coordinating quality educational and social programming.

 

Education:

  • M.A. in Law from Universidad Complutense of Madrid

  • A.B.D. in International Private Law from Universidad Complutense of Madrid

  • M.A. in International Marketing from Confederación Empresarial de  Madrid.

U.S. Department of State Grant Fortifies Study Abroad Program

Ursinus is one of 34 colleges and universities in 28 states to be awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of State’s Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students (IDEAS) Program, which aims to develop and expand study abroad programs around the world.

A new grant will help students obtain a passport and open up new study abroad opportunities.
