Corey Kelly

I was a Health and Exercise Physiology major at Ursinus and a two-sport athlete in football and lacrosse. I was a captain of the lacrosse team and held leadership roles on and off the field. I earned my teaching certification in Health and Physical Education, doing my student teaching in the Spring-Ford School District. My first teaching position was as a Health and Physical Education teacher in the Perkiomen Valley School district as a long-term substitute. I currently work at Upper Moreland High School as a Health & Physical Education teacher as well as a faculty manager, and Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach. I went to Holy Family for my Master’s in Education with a Principal’s Certification. Currently, I am enrolled in Liberty University for a Master’s in the Science of Strength and Conditioning.

Ursinus College courses have prepared me to be the best version of myself and do the right thing, as well as having high expectations for my students, in and outside of the classroom. The rigor of study and time management techniques have allowed me to balance my teaching schedule, coaching schedule, and graduate level courses all the while being an impactful teacher in the community. The College put me through numerous challenges that has molded me into the person and teacher I am today. My experience at Ursinus was a great trial run for the “game of life” and I am confident that with my knowledge obtained from this institution, I am truly prepared for what life has in store for me. The amount of support, love, and generosity I received from Ursinus on a day-to-day basis has been a true blessing, and I am so grateful for the experience as a whole.
