Research

I’m currently involved in a Biology Honor’s Research project titled “Developing Model Systems to Study Enveloped Viral Pathogens”. I work under the advisory of Dr. Lobo in collaboration with Dr. Ellison to observe the effects of nanomaterials on viral and bacterial growth.

How I Stay Involved

Although I’m a Biology major, my Creative Writing minor has opened the door to numerous opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise known about! Becoming a Writing Fellow at the Center for Writing and Speaking was one of these, but I’ve also gotten published in the Lantern Literary Magazine and worked as a reader and proofreader for this spring’s edition!

Life After Ursinus

After Ursinus, my goal is to go to medical school in hopes of becoming a physician. I’ve always had an interest in medical sciences, and my coursework at Ursinus only fueled that interest further.

What I love about writing

I feel like writing is a great way to express yourself. I also like how all writing is different, and there’s not a “right answer” on how to write anything! It’s a very creative and personalized process, which can help you learn a lot about someone as a reader.
